About G360

Greenlight 360, Inc. a/k/a G360 was founded in June 2009 in Boston Massachusetts by Ricky Berger, its CEO and Network President.  Prior to founding G360, Mr. Berger was responsible for the business planning and strategic development of Young Sportscasters of America, Inc. (“YSA”) in which he was Executive Vice President and General Counsel.   In that role, Mr. Berger came to the conclusions that: (1) internet television production needed to be accomplished on a “dirt cheap or less” basis to be profitable, and; (2) by combining and integrating an Internet television network with a 360 music company (handling creation, publishing, and distribution) the resulting entity could be vibrant, symbiotic, and profitable as well as being very cool.  Mr. Berger left YSA to begin G360 with full rights to the concepts he had developed.

By way of background, Ricky Berger is an entertainment and business attorney with over 25 years’ experience representing entrepreneurs in and out of the music business.  Mr. Berger teaches Publishing and Copyright at UMASS Lowell’s Music Business Department.  A professional musician for decades (voted best jazz guitarist in Massachusetts in 1978 — Allstate), Mr. Berger can be heard and seen at www.rickyberger.com.  Career highlights include playing with Draw the Line, the Aerosmith-endorsed tribute band, and opening for the band Chicago in Chicago, Illinois in 2008.

Over the past two years, G360 has been developing show treatments as fine-tuning its business model.  As we complete projects they will be posted on G360.  One example is the Show Concept for our show G.I. Bill which has been accepted by www.Kickstarter.com to raise $20,000.  As will be explained when that campaign launches:

We will produce a Webseries called “GI Bill” (10 episodes) to be premiered on the new i-TV Network Greenlight360.com.   The setting is a community college.  The main characters are five students in a popular rock band at the school.  Three are returning combat vets (two marines and one Army) who can only express their emotions through their songs and the remaining two are fresh out of high school.  The episodes explore all the amazing stuff that happens in college, with a rock band in college, and especially with rock band in college with vets in the mix .  The show will be Mash meets Friends meets Almost Famous.

A real band will “play” the “show” band and we will use the show to launch this band into a nationwide spotlight.  This “conceit” of the show will be a stunning juxtaposition of a band playing a band (but seriously) while at the same time separately using the show exposure to launch the ACTUAL band on a nationwide basis.

From a business perspective the end goal will be the ascension of G.I. Bill into production by a leading cable company or television network AND the launch of the band to a signing with a major label to achieve a major distribution contract, and/or secure nationwide (or international) touring.  The business model for the show includes the following components.  G360 will own the show content.  We will share revenues with the production “team” generated from the acquisition, licensing, and/or distribution of the episodes and show concept itself.  G360 will also have a custom – tailored 360 arrangement with the band to share in the band’s success as it is  propelled into a larger spotlight and perhaps even exited from G360 as the band moves on to sign with much larger labels, publishers, and/or distributors.  There are also several streams of revenue which will produced by the show (and the band) beyond those discussed above.

We have developed many other show ideas and continue to develop more.  At this stage in our growth we are always willing, eager and happy to talk with like-minded entrepreneurs, producers, film-makers, investors, bands, managers, labels and anyone else who understands the power of working TOGETHER to move great ideas into industry-changing actions and results.

Thank you,

Ricky Berger, Network President
